A Lake Placid native, Ken considers himself an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, alpine skiing, and cross country skiing. This past winter he competed in the Lake Placid Loppet (coming in first in the 250 lb and up club). He is a certified scuba diver and loves the warm Caribbean waters in places like Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Saba Island, and Aruba.

 

His knowledge in real estate goes back many years. His father started a local real estate company, Whiteface Agency, back in the 1950’s. Ken, an associate broker, has been with Whiteface Agency for the past 28 years and recently decided to join the Coldwell Banker Whitbeck Association team. He has sold everything from residential vacant land to multimillion dollar commercial properties throughout his career. 

 

He enjoys being involved with the community as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Lake Placid and the Town of North Elba – a position he has held for the past 9 years. He also is a Board Member for the Adirondack Ski Touring Council and the Hall of Fame committee.

 

Ken has a strong sense of family with roots in the area that date back to the early 1900’s. He has a wonderful 7 year old girl and can’t think of a better place in the world to raise her. He also has established many relationships in our community with friends and business associates that he considers part of his family.
