Shirley Evans was born and raised in Endicott, N.Y., and graduated from the University of Binghamton. She and her husband, Don, moved to this area over 30 years ago and fell in love with the North Country.

 

They have made Peru their home, where they raised four children and Don taught school since 1970. Shirley has taught both French* and Math at Plattsburgh High School, Clinton Community College and currently at Ausable Valley Middle School. Shirley has become familiar with much of Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties while traveling for her church, kayaking, cross-country skiing, and hiking.

 

As Shirley contemplated retiring from teaching, the natural choice for a second career was real estate. She obtained her license in 2006, and has been working part time since then. She finds that it is a perfect opportunity to combine her love and knowledge of the North Country with a natural inclination to match the right house to the right buyer. Shirley’s retirement will begin in June 2009 and she is excited to be able to devote herself full time to meeting your real estate needs.
